It is in good overall condition with wear from use and handling, including chipped resin and scuffed paint around the joints.
This resin Bug maquette is painted grey and moulded around metal ball joints for articulating its body parts. Tippett was nominated for an Academy Award® for his work on the film. This lot comes from the film's creature visual effects supervisor, Phil Tippett, whose Tippett Studio created three-dimensional maquettes of the Bugs as tools for shot planning, lighting reference, and other purposes. Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien) encountered several Warrior Bugs, the primary soldier of the Bug army, in the war between humans and the alien Arachnids.
